Parador’s accommodations are divided among four separate buildings, with beautiful ocean, jungle or garden views plus the superb amenities you’d expect from a world-class resort.

Built on the highest point of the resort, Las Suites is our magnificent newer annex housing 28 luxurious panoramic suites and two sumptuous Master Vista Suites. The complex features a private adult-only infinity pool and Jacuzzi, the light fare of La Fragata Restaurant & Tapas Bar, two elevators, and Wi-Fi. Additionally, a small meeting room for eight is available for executive conferences.

  • Garden Rooms

These 25 comfortable rooms access the gardens directly from the terrace and have a great location, just steps from the resort’s restaurants, spa and primary pool area. Two queen beds or one king bed.

  • Garden Plus Rooms

A perfect choice for families thanks to the connecting doors between each two rooms, the 20 Garden Plus rooms have balconies that overlook the rainforest. Two queen beds.

  • Tropical Rooms

Conveniently located close to the resort’s restaurants, spa, gift shops and swimming pools, the 30 Tropical rooms sit just below the Premium building. Partial ocean and jungle or garden views. Two queen beds or one king bed.

  • Premium Rooms

Built on a rock high atop the resort’s grounds, our 12 Premium Rooms offer incredible 180-degree ocean and jungle views. Two queen beds. Both Premium and Premium Plus rooms are accessible via interior and exterior stairs or a dramatic panoramic incline elevator.

  • Premium Plus Rooms

Situated above the Premium accommodations, these nine beautifully decorated rooms open to stellar views of the Pacific Ocean coastline. King bed. Premium and Premium Plus rooms are accessible via interior and exterior stairs or a dramatic, panoramic incline elevator.

  • Vista Suites

Located in the new “Las Suites” building, these 28 ocean-view one-bedroom suites feature every imaginable amenity including plasma TV, mini-bar, sleeper sofa and sumptuous bathroom with full-size tub and separate shower. Each suite has an ample balcony with private Jacuzzi. King bed.

  • Vista Pacific Suites

These two extraordinary corner suites have all the commodities of “Las Suites” with an added 260-degree ocean and jungle view, plus a larger balcony giving our guests even more privacy. King bed.

  • Vista Master Suites

With 360-degree ocean/jungle views highlighted by large windows and a large balcony with private Jacuzzi, these two lavish Master Suites each feature a spacious master bedroom and living room, two plasma TVs and all other luxury amenities. King size bed and sleeper sofa. The Master Suites are accessible via a private staircase adjoining them and can be rented separately or together for families or groups.

  • Presidential Suite

The luxurious Cristóbal Colón Presidential Suite spreads out over 172 square meters (1,851 square feet) and is truly one-of-a-kind in Central America. It’s located in the main building with direct access to restaurants, conference room, and the mezzanine. Three king beds.

 

DINING

A pianist accompanies fine dining at La Galería, an elegant sea-view restaurant overlooking the hotel’s gardens and pool area. The diverse menu spotlights the tropical flavors of local cuisine alongside Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The extensive breakfast buffet is included in room rates.

Guests relax with before- or after-dinner cocktails at La Galería’s bar, Don Juan, a cozy European-style piano lounge with outdoor seating available on the surrounding terrace.

For casual evening dining in a relaxed atmosphere, El Quijote serves an inspired Latin-fusion menu made with the freshest ingredients.

La Reina is an elegant medieval-style private dining room complete with a personal server. Flickering candles provide a dreamy ambiance for a romantic rendezvous or intimate gathering.

Located in the Parador Suites, La Fragata Restaurant & Tapas Bar serves a selection of healthy and light dining options and tasty cocktails in a casual environment with ocean views and cool sea breezes. Pool bar service is available all day. Stunning sunset views make this a great choice for early evening cocktails.

El Galeón serves a light lunch menu and sushi on the terrace; there’s a swim-up bar at the pool, which has a spectacular ocean vista.

At Sushi Fune the chef prepares sushi with organically grown produce and fresh local seafood, served up daily alongside other Japanese specialties.

A game of pool or after-dinner drinks and cigars are available at Sancho Panza Bar, adjacent to El Quijote restaurant.

Private catering is also available for meetings, parties or events.

SPA AND FITNESS

The onsite fitness center is equipped with an array of modern machines, free weights and mats.

The Pacífica Spa is an oasis of calm near the jungle, with an expert staff of spa practitioners and an inspired menu of wellness services offered in five treatment rooms. Private lockers, plush bathrobes, complimentary fruit and beverages, relaxation and yoga areas (for practicing independently or joining a scheduled class), steam room, plunge pool and a Swiss shower are available. Treatments include:

Dulcinea Gift Shop on the second floor of the main building offers everything from handcrafted wood and ceramic wares, archetypal Central American artwork, and unique collectibles to fine jewelry, beautiful beachwear and clothing.

La Joyita Souvenir Shop sells necessities such as toiletries, pharmaceuticals and snacks alongside t-shirts, sarongs, hats, sundries and souvenirs; located next to the main pool.

GETTING HERE

Parador Resort & Spa is located on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica in Manuel Antonio near the town of Quepos.  The property is easily accessible from the capital of San Jose by air or by road. A 20-minute domestic flight is most convenient, but many guests enjoy the scenic 2 ½-hour mountain and coastal drive. Both Nature Air and Sansa offer direct flights to Quepos.

ENTRY Citizens of most nations are required to have a passport that is valid for at least 30 days beyond the date of arrival in Costa Rica.

LOCATION/SIZE Costa Rica, official name Republic of Costa Rica, is located in Central America in between Nicaragua and Panama. The country is 19,730 square miles or 51,100 square kilometers.

CAPITAL San José is the capital of Costa Rica.

LANGUAGE Spanish. English is also widely spoken, particularly in tourist areas.

CLIMATE In Costa Rica, the highlands are cold, the cloud forest is misty and cool, San José and the Central Valley get an ‘eternal spring’ and both the Pacific and Caribbean coasts enjoy a warm tropical climate year round.

POPULATION Costa Rica’s population is 4.5 million.
