Parador Resort & Spa is located on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, in Manuel Antonio near the town of Quepos. The resort is easily accessible from the capital of San Jose with a 20 minute domestic flight several times a day, a 2 hour drive over the new 2 lane highway, or a 3 hour drive through scenic mountain sides and coffee plantations.
Directions
Go out the main terminal of Juan Santamaría International airport and take a left, pass by the gas station, continue and take the second road to the right after the gas station, continue on this road for about one mile, pass a small bridge and you will get to an intersection, here take to your left and continue on this road till you get to an intersection with signs that show “Coyol” to your right and Guacima to your left, continue towards Guacima and take the first road to your right after the sign following a new sign to Turrucares, continue on this road for 2 miles aprox, till you reach a runabout, to enter the highway, follow the signs to Orotina and Atenas. Once you arrive to Orotina follow the signs to Jaco, you will pass the Tarcoles River and Carara Park (famous for the large quantities of crocodiles that inhabit there). Once in Jaco stay on the main road and continue onto Parrita, then Quepos. Once in Quepos downtown turn left past the small park and drive up the mountain about 4 kilometers towards the Manuel Antonio National Park. Before the road starts descending you will see the Barba Roja restaurant on your right, Cafe Milagro on your left, and the Parador Resort sign, take a right on that road towards Punta Quepos and continue for 1.5 kilometers till the end of the road.
Scenic road through Atenas
As you come from the Juan Santamaría Internacional airport, head north-west on the Pan-American Highway , after several miles exit at the Atenas-orotina-Jaco sign. Take a left and follow the mountain road. Once you arrive to Orotina follow the signs to Jaco, you will pass the Tarcoles river and Carara park ( famous for the large quantities of crocodiles that inhabit there ). Once in Jaco stay on the main road and continue onto Parrita, then Quepos. Once in Quepos downtown turn left past the small park and drive up the mountain about 4 kilometers towards the Manuel Antonio National Park.
