Horseback Riding

Horseback Riding Trek To Waterfall

Enjoy a scenic horseback trek through the fertile hills and tranquil countryside outside Villa Nueva about 30 minutes from Parador Resort & Spa.

A quick hike will end at two spectacular waterfalls where you can swim in a calm pool beneath the natural torrent and enjoy some revitalizing snacks (juice, water, fruit, cookies). Back on the horses for another hour and then off to enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch. A great half-day trip for couples, groups or families.

Horseback Riding On A Farm

Feel like a Tico cowboy or Tica cowgirl as you enjoy this scenic four hour horse trek through 1,000 stunning acres of working cattle ranch, lush rainforest, African Palm and fruit tree plantations.

The only working cattle ranch and private horse farm in Costa Rica’s southern zone, this excursion provides the unique opportunity to help  wranglers move cattle from pasture to pasture and visit the onsite dairy where cheese is made and fresh milk is bottled.

Further, enjoy the solitude and serenity offered by riding through dense jungles which comprise almost as much land mass and contain as much wildlife (monkeys, sloths, coatis, tropical birds, etc…) as Manuel Antonio National Park. A mid-way refreshing dip in a calm river pool will give you a chance to cool down and rev up for the ride back. A fun and informative adventure for the entire family under the aegis of experienced bilingual guides.  And since there’s also plenty of open space, a great trek for experienced riders, as well.

  • Includes: Round-trip Transportation; fruits, snacks; bilingual guide, horse
  • What To Bring: Long pants; tennis or hiking shoes; bathing suit; towel; sunscreen; hat; camera
  • Duration: 4 ½ to 5 hours.
  • Departure: Daily at 7:30 am – 1:30 pm.
